[Empty Space, Lifehouse]
Day Thirty.
I finally relented and acknowledged that my beloved body pillow has come to then end of its life. It's deflated and floppy and the fabric hangs off of it limply. Went out and bought a new one today. This is the comparison between old and new. It's very sad but exactly why I had to buy a new one. I will miss you, Old Pillow. You were soft. Like a kitten. Oh, well.

I am floating away, lost in a silent ballet.
[On The Wing, Owl City]
Day Twenty-Nine.
Tried my iTouch camera yesterday. It's not the best, picture's a little fuzzy in places but it's so much easier than getting pictures off my phone. Anyway, did ad tags all day yesterday. These ones were cosmetic tags, for Almay products. I don't usually help cosmetics with theirs but when they're too busy to do them all themselves, there really isn't any other option. I hate doing cosmetic stuff but what can you do? :P Then I was doodling at lunch...And not enjoying it as much as I used to. It was mostly a way to pass time.

You're all talk and nothing to sa-a-ay.
[Here Tomorrow Gone Today, Lifehouse]
Day Twenty-Six.
Timeclock at work. Clutter, yay. When our salads are past the best-by date, we can get them for half price. I never do, I abide by product dates. The idea of eating stuff like that grosses me out. Also, 4 weeks worth of schedules. So many people. We have around 35 employees, lol. And then there's the cheesy drive-time poster. I hate all our cheesy posters, pfft.

What day is it and in what month? This clock never seemed so alive.
[You and Me, Lifehouse]
Day Twenty-Five.
Lazy last minute picture because I didn't feel like getting a picture from work off my phone. This one of the shelves of my...shelf, haha. On the far left, the green blob is actually a horse figurine from some community center trip to an arcade [Family Fun Center? Can't recall.] Five of the other figurines are the ones that Lipton used to put in their tea boxes. There is a ram, a wolf, a zebra, a sheep and a whale. Then there's a little dragon figurine from Maple Valley Days years ago. The dolphin is "super glued" to it's little rock, the rock has amethyst on it. I don't know where that's from, I've had it as long as I can remember. The wolf in the corner is something Dad got me years ago, I believe. It's hard to remember where my wolf stuff comes from, I had too much, lol. The bracelet around the base of the wolf was one that I used to wear all the time. One of those friendship bracelets Rachel and I used to wear.
Then we have the popsicle stick frame in the back there, housing a picture of my boyfriend, Felix. I miss him a lot. Don't even know if he's still alive, really. Don't talk to Rachel, so no way to know. Anyway, that was a weird moment. I'd taken off the vest for some reason or other and left it in the grass. Came back to find Felix rolling around with it, sticking his head and legs through the holes. Apparently, he really liked it. Next to that, we have a picture of Mussie. I'm pretty sure she's long gone by now. My grandma had sent the picture a million years ago, writing on the back that Mussie said hi, that she had cancer and was on chemo weekly and was taking steroids. It also said she was doing fine, but again, that was a long time ago. I loved her a lot though. Sweet girl. (:
And that's that. Picture of the day and too many words to explain it. <3

Goodnight to you, I always do think of you...
[Sweet Dreams, VAMPS]
Day Twenty-Four.
Mom posted about something precious that she's so used to, she doesn't notice it much. I'm the same way. Once something's part of my environment, I tend to not pay much attention to it. In that line of thought, here's the wall right above my computer monitor. Pictures of loved ones! (: That first picture on the bottom left is Rocket, Breanne's dog. He's just barely older than Dale (born in November) but has apparently not been doing so great lately. They're hoping it's a passing thing but hopefully, if it doesn't really improve, they'll have the vet her aunt knows come see him (because you just aren't going to get Rocket into a car, lol). Other than that, we have Dale as a puppy (top left), Dale with his earless bunnies, Dale being wonderfully beautiful in the snow. Then there's Mom&Dad at Quinalt, followed by two pictures of Teddy. (: Yay, loved ones!

You can only change the person you'll become.
[Crash and Burn, Lifehouse]
Day Twenty-Three.
Went to 'breakfast' at Top Pot Doughnuts with Sae, Jesibel and Kristie this morning. It was nice to just sit down and chat. We'll definitely have to do it again and I'm glad we managed to actually do it today. We have notoriously bad luck with getting together, hahaha. Anyway, Kristie got tea and they gave her the little teapot to take to our table. You can kind of see it here but thee walls are also covered entirely with book shelves and old books. Were sitting on the main level but the upper level [it's a loft, pretty much] has more tables and the walls there are also bookshelves, as the shelves are wall-to-floor. I love Top Pot. <3

[One Love (People Get Ready), Glee Cast (Mark Salling&Kevin McHale)]
Day Twenty-Two.
Last minute, pretty much. I had some other photos but they were on my phone and I wasn't sure if I liked them. So here's me playing Red Dead Redemption, as I tend to lately. My Kentucky Saddler. <3 And you can't really see it, but Ezio's being a creeper on the wall to the left. Yay?

And all the weight you carry will disappear.
[Walls, The Rocket Summer]
Day Twenty-One.
We were waking dinner, so I took a picture to pass time. This is the bottom half of the fridge, clearly. On the top, you can see part of our whiteboard calendar. That's Cyan there giving Selik a zebra ride. Cute. On the left, I don't actually remember where this Gundam 00 card came from but Saeble conveniently covered Setsuna's face with the Cheshire Cat. <3 On the right is the paper from GameStop that tells us when we can go acquire our shiny legendaries. Yay, Pokemon? Lol. On the bottom left is our Seattle City Light bill. If I could marry SCL, I would. Those bills are beautiful. On the bottom right is the recipe for Muddy Buddies that I haven't made since the first time. I should, because they're amazingly yummy.
And that's that. I need to get out more, darn. I should take pictures when we go for breakfast with the girls on Sunday. Top Pot = <3!

I miss the way the sunshine would light up your face.
[From Where You Are, Lifehouse]
This song is sad, for the record. And I love Lifehouse.
Day Twenty.
Went with Sae to go drop off her homework at the school. While she was inside, I went down to the tracks behind the school to shoot this real quick. Wanted a picture that didn't involve the indoors. ;) Anyway, as much as I am glad I'm not commuting anymore the two things I miss about it are riding the ferry and walking along the waterfront during the day. I love both so much. I think I'd rather like to take weekly walks on the waterfront, just to get out and because it's so nice down there.
Anyway, this is facing the direction of the Pier 66 walk-over bridge that I used to take to get from this side of the tracks to the other side to walk to the ferry. I didn't like crossing the train tracks when I had a ferry to catch because I hated getting stuck waiting for the train and having to turn back around and go up the hill to try the bridge. So yeah, the tracks on the waterfront. <3

My heart stops when you look at me.
[Teenage Dream, Glee cast (Dalton Warblers) ]
Day Nineteen.
Took this before we headed out after work tonight. Just a small portion of our photo lab workspace. This is where we put the film on the leadercards [in the little slot on the left there] so we can put them in the film processor. After the film processor, we run the film through the scanner so that they can be printed. But you can't see any of that here, obviously. Film waiting to be processed goes in the yellow bucket. Next to that is the green tape we use to attach film to the leadercard. Next to the tape are the twin check stickers. One goes on the end of the film roll and the matching sticker goes on that order's envelope so we know which film belongs to which customer. The black thing next to the stickers is how we get the beginning of the film out of the canister to attach to the leadercard. Ta-da! I like running film, lol.
Oh! And the yellow thing that says Kodak is how we get disposable cameras open to get to the film, since most don't have the little switch on the side to pop them open. So we get to pry them open, yay. The tool's been used for many other things, too. It's good for improvising.

Must be the clouds in my eyes.
[Daniel, Elton John]
Day Eighteen.
Realized that I hadn't taken a picture for today! Well, I think I took one on my phone earlier but I take those for "emergencies", really. Here we have the bar counter separating the kitchen from the room. Over time, it's collected Gundam models, animal figurines and Breyer horses. And...Ezio but you can't really see him back there being sneaky. Anyway, we have Blitz here, who is the giant dark shape on the far left. Next to Blitz is Duel, the blue guy you can't really see, then little Virtue, little Dynames and big Dynames. I have not yet finished big Virtue which means we have not had a chance to start on big Kyrios. Sad, but true. That's also Yzak and Nicol over there amongst the Gundams. Then we have the French Belgian [no name, Trait du Nord model of the Belgian Draft], the Gypsy Vanner [Kuchi, first Gypsy born in the U.S.] and the Irish Draft [O'Leary's Irish Diamond]. And behind the Irish is the box containing our Harlequin-in-a-box that we got with Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. We haven't let him out since we got him. Frankly, he's kind of a creep. Lol...

[Don't Cry For Me Argentina, Glee cast (Chris Colfer)]
Day Sixteen.
Okay, so I cheated. The other night, Veda was on the washer of her own accord but I didn't get there in time with my camera. Today, she was looking like she might get up but didn't. So I set her up there and hijacked Sae's camera [mine's dead]. Veda's watching Sae draw on the calendar.

The way you move ain't fair, you know...
[Hey Soul Sister, Glee Cast (Warblers)]
Day Fifteen.
Playing with my camera. I don't actually like this picture but it amused me. This would be the apartment with all the lights off, with just my computer screen on. Long exposures are entertaining. I did not make my bed this morning, sue me. Also, yes, that is a lot of cords on the floor. I use them often and it makes no sense to put them away. Phone charger, camera USB, iTouch USB, Kindle USB. I need them. To survive. Seriously. And yeah, we might kind of have matching VAMPS bags.
[And LOOK, it's Rice and my calendar and my chain photo and MUCC and Yasu and some random guy I bought at SakuraCon and legs that belong to Saga&Nao&Shou (goldpantsyeah) and...uhm...Izaya, apparently. Oh, and Durara cast + Raikou&Raimei over the slider.]

I'll doze off safe and soundly but I'll miss your arms around me...
[Vanilla Twilight, Owl City]
Day Fourteen.
I got out of cleaning shelves today by agreeing to do a revision on the vitamins. Resets > Revisions > Cleaning > Checking. Pretty much. I love resets.
Also, my phone camera sucks. It focused on the left side of the picture and that's pretty much it. It can't do ANYTHING up-close. I miss the Glyde's camera, honestly. But I don't miss the Glyde.

After closing. I was facing and such and realized that, sadly, I match our carts.

I know the battles of chasing the shadows of who you wanna be.
[Broken Open, Adam Lambert]
Day Twelve.
Just because it's there. The top of our bookshelf. We still don't know what the skull and spine are from but we figure it's probably a harbor seal or something. The antler is real, from a white-tailed deer I believe. They made it into a cribbage board, bought from Puyallup Fair. The rocks are painted as a fox and an owl, also bought at the Fair.

If I'm supposed to be alone, then why do I dream of you daily?
[Illusions, Mark Salling]

It snowed everywhere but Florida, apparently. When we got ours last night, we looked out and noticed someone had written LOVE through the snow in the courtyard.

Just remember, you are not alone...
[Aftermath, Adam Lambert]
Day Ten.
Home alone until 9:30, going against the whole "you shouldn't sit in the dark" thing because hey, I like the dark. But first, I wanted to straighten my hair 'cause it was annoying me. So I left the bathroom light on while the straightener was warming up. Realized, as usual, that I'd gone the day without a picture. Here we are. Veda's waiting for dinner.

[By Your Side, Lifehouse]
Day Nine.
Realized I needed a picture for today and was playing with Veda. It would have been a nicer picture if she'd been a nicer kitty, but she kept trying to eat Tieria when he wasn't on her head. Is that really how you should treat your Innovators, Veda? Then again, you did pretty much ditch them for most of Season 2...

[Hate On Me, Glee Cast]
Day Eight.
We both spontaneously got our hair cut today while out shopping with Sae's mom. I decided I also really needed to re-dye mine, because blond roots in dark hair make me look like I'm balding, haha. So we dyed it when we got home. These are Sae's lovely gloves after the fact.

[Rose's Turn, Chris Colfer]
Day Five.
Closed at work and made the mistake of not going out to get a picture before I went to work. Took this when I got home, instead. I'll have to try and not get in the habit of taking it last minute because of closing. Anyway, the courtyard at the apartments.

Day Four.
Day Four.
Long day at work followed by a trip to GameStop that wound up with us getting White Chocolate Mochas at Starbucks. Took this while we waited and figured it would suffice for today. (: You can't tell, but I was actually wearing two scarves. It was very, very cold this morning when I walked to work. And then I got to work and had to stock the freezer. Isn't that wonderful?

[Love Story, Taylor Swift]

Our darling Veda, wondering why we're taking so long to get around to feeding her. Prettiest eyes around, right here.

[Baby, It's Cold Outside, Chris Colfer & Darren Criss]
Day Two.
MudBay. For Healthy Dogs And Cats.
Our new favorite store. It's going to be a weekly thing, as we intend to keep Veda on Nutro or other brands we might try. Figure we'll buy a week's worth at at time and just do it that way. No more Friskies unless we can't get to MudBay.

Hopefully somewhere, something is waiting for us.
[Migration, Mark Salling]
Day One.
Something simple and random, because it's cold out and we just wanted to see if Mud Bay was open.
Which it isn't, because nothing is.
Except Walgreens, Walgreens is open like every other day of the year. I'm not rolling my eyes, I promise.
This is 4th avenue, between Battery and Bell. On the Battery end is the fire station, on the Bell end is an apartment complex that I really don't like. Between are a number of shops and pretty much every other lot is empty. The lot next to the station is a telescope place and I THINK that guy owns all the lots. I've seen an older man showing people the lots and the empty ones both have signs that say "For Lease, Inquire at...", directing people to inquire at the telescope place.
It makes me wonder if lease prices were raised or something because all of the lots used to be filled when we moved. Just recently, the Belltown Pull-Apart left, moved to 2nd Ave. somewhere. This makes me sad, because they had a rottweiler and a fat chihuahua that were always free roaming the street here. I never petted the chihuahua but the rottie was a sweetheart. I miss seeing him on the way to and from work.
Anyway, that's that. My lazy day one picture. But hey, no one said they had to be amazing, right?
Off to watch Spirit before work.
Day One.
Something simple and random, because it's cold out and we just wanted to see if Mud Bay was open.

It's a new world, it's a new start.
[Here I Am, Bryan Adams]
I figure I should make some attempt to use this for reasons not pertaining to the 365 project. Don't know how well that will go but for the time being, I'm just going to dump this year's "List" here. I told Nicole I was going to do it this year and I might as well do it now before I forget. I don't think I did it last year. I can't remember.
Anyway, the random 2010 list of noteworthy things.
[This is going to be hard, I don't have that fabulous of a memory.]
-September marked a full year of living in Seattle, with the best roommate ever.
-As of the day after Christmas, I worked a full year at the Pike Walgreens. This is both a good and a bad thing for various reasons. I miss not having the desire to punch the majority of my customers.
-Also, I very happily became a photo tech after over a year of hatinghatinghating being a service clerk.
-I have seen significantly less of downtown than I would have liked, but saw new places at the same time.
-Adopted the perfect cat in late February. Still asking ourselves "How did we get so lucky?" and still not getting any answers.
-On Christmas, Veda stopped sleeping on Breanne's bed. Still haven't figure out why after almost a full year of not sleeping on my bed. Yes, this is a very significant happening because she pretty much didn't pay attention to me for a full year, unless I initiated some sort of interaction or she wanted food. Now she's willingly picking my bed over Breanne's and we don't understand why.
-Went to Fort Casey with Alyssa, had a wonderful time and was reminded once again of how much I love that place.
-Attended SakuraCon for the 2nd time and had even more fun than the first time.
-Dyed my hair in full for the first time. It was red. I got tired of it fading to orange, however, and dyed it dark brown. It needs to be dyed again. I look like I'm balding because my roots are so light.
-Went to the Cheesecake factory for the first time and am now hopelessly in love with Crabcake Sandwiches.
-Apartment hunted and almost moved into the Archstone in September. Plan thwarted, still living in a box.
-Left JrockRevolution.com and have since fallen way out of the Jrock loop. I have no idea what's going on anymore.
-That being said, finally saw Miyavi at the Showbox this year and every minute of standing in line was completely worth it. We were there from the morning until the doors opened. Yeah. And then we ended up standing in the back because everyone was ridiculously tall and I'd rather look at Miyavi than someone's sweaty arm. It was wonderful, though.
-Also saw X Japan at the Paramount, which was also ridiculously amazing.
-Can't forget how I saw Sugizo browsing shelves at work, that was kind of amazing and kind of bizarre.
-Bought my Kindle and yeah, it's kind of amazing.
-Somehow managed to acquire both a PS3 and an Xbox, what?
-On the same line of thought, fell in love with Assassin's Creed and am forever game spoiled because of it. [I say this as iTunes shuffles to playing Jesper Kyd's "Ezio's Family" from the ACII soundtrack.] I will never be able to play sub-par games again.
-Even Keel turned two in August. Still trying to figure out how that happened. Still trying to figure out why we love it so much. Still trying to figure out how it all came from the whole idea of "Mr. Coat", his "cat" and the "Heir".
-Discovered places like Swerve and Mud Bay. Am eternally grateful for both.
-Acquired a love for Peppermint White Hot Chocolate and am sad that it is not a year 'round thing.
-Reacquainted myself with my love for draft horses.
-Started and finished season one [and caught up to season two] of Glee in less than a week. We are sufficiently hooked and in love. Yeah. [Also, Chris Colfer is amazing.]
-Learned that I have some of the best co-workers ever. The kind you miss when you don't see them for two days and the kind that miss you when you're off for a couple days. Also, the kind who make sure a birthday means something.
-Went to Lady Antebellum&Tim McGraw with Haley and had a blast, even if I had to run from work to the Key Arena in the pouring rain as soon as I clocked off.
-Saw Roger Waters at the Tacoma Dome with Dad and it was a hundred times better than the first time. And not only because I had glasses this time, though that helped a lot. Oddly enough, it was also pouring rain for this concert, haha. There was significantly less time actually spent in the rain, however.
-Became a little bit hooked on Ghost Hunters, thanks to Breanne.
-Also fell in love with Torchwood, thanks to Breanne. But I do blame her for the misery that came with watching the last two episodes. [They killed Ianto, whyyy?]
-Went to Emerald Downs for the first time in longer than I could remember. Had fun and am sad we couldn't go for the last races of the season. Maybe this year?
I made the mistake of going to try and buy cat food [why are people closed New Year's Day? It's only been a week since 99.99% of them were closed for Xmas. Stupid.] and now I've lost my flow. If I think of anything else, I'll come back. Maybe. I know there's plenty more that I wanted to mention.
